Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peeled (about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups mashed)
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (76 g) melted butter, unsalted or salted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup sugar (cane sugar etc.)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
- Beat the egg in a mixing bowl
- Add the ripe bananas, and mash with a fork until completely smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.
- In a separate mixing bowl, stir the flour, salt and baking soda together.
- Slowly, add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, while stirring.
- Mix in the optional walnuts and/or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour at 350°F.
- Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Remove the bread from the pan and let cool completely before serving.
Slice and serve.
