Pets de Soeurs

Ingredients
Either make the dough or use leftover pie dough
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup lard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 5 tablespoons cold water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Filling
- Butter, enough to spread over dough
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Cut together flour, lard and salt until it resembles small peas.
- Combine the egg, water and vinegar and gradually add to flour mixture.
- Stir just until moistened and a soft dough forms.
- Wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Roll out dough into 2 thin squares.
- Spread butter all over dough.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over butter and spread out evenly.
- Roll dough into logs and cut into 1/2 inch thick pinwheels.
- Place on parchment paper lined baking sheets.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 20 minutes.
Cool completely and enjoy.
