Crispy Chicken Burger

Ingredients
Chicken Burger
- 4 buns
- 4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts
- pound the thicker end to 1/4" to 1/2" thick so they cook evenly
- 1/2 cup all-purpose Flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- bread crumbs/panko/doritos/puffed rice
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons thyme (optional)
- cayenne pepper (optional for spiciness)
Condiments
- Mayonnaise
- Hot sauce

- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Pickles
- Avocado
- Onions
- Cheese
Instructions
- Heat 1 ” oil in a soup pot or dutch oven to 350˚F.
- Put the flour, and eggs in separate, shallow bowls
- In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together breading ingredients: flour, salt, pepper, baking powder, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.
- One piece at a time, dip chicken into flour mixture, pressing it on with your hands to coat well.
- Coat the floured chicken with the egg mixture, ensuring that it is evenly coated
- Toss the chicken in the breading mixture, making sure that all the egg is covered
- Transfer to a wire rack.
- Place 2-3 chicken pieces into the oil one by one.
- Cook 3-4 minutes on the first side or until browned and crispy.
- Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes on the second side or until cooked through and chicken is browned and crispy all over.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Lightly butter and toast the cut sides of your buns and build your crispy chicken sandwiches with desired toppings.
