Pizza Sauce

1. Classic Pizza Sauce (Ve, P, GF, DF)
Ingredients
- 1 bottle (about 700 mL) passata (tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes)
- 1 can (156 mL) tomato paste, to the desired consistency
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (Optional)
Seasoning:
- dried parsley, to taste
- dried oregano, to taste
- dried basil, to taste
- garlic powder, to taste
- balsamic vinegar, to taste
- salt and peppers, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, seasonings and garlic if used.
- Simmer it for about 5 minutes to warm it up.
2. Tomato Cream Pizza Sauce (Onion and Garlic free)
Ingredients
- 1 can (156 mL) Tomato paste
- 1/2 cup of Heavy cream, adjust to desired consistency
Seasoning:
- dried parsley, to taste
- dried oregano, to taste
- dried basil, to taste
- balsamic vinegar, to taste (optional)
- salt and peppers, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add tomato paste, heavy cream and seasonings.
- Simmer it for about 5 minutes to warm it up.
